Meaty Cheese Bones


2 cups whole wheat flour or oats

1 cup grated cheese (preferably low-fat cream cheese)

1/2 lb cooked meat (turkey, lamb, or chicken), finely chopped

1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Enough water or broth to form a dough


Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, mix together the flour or oats, cheese, and meat. Add garlic powder if using.

Gradually add water or broth until the mixture forms a stiff dough.

Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.

Cut into bone shapes with a cookie cutter and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Let cool before serving to your eager pup.
